Creativity For Introverts

I read posts by great big businessmen like Fedor Ovchinnikov and Ayaz Shabutdinov. They are expecting very big changes and crisis. But the bad thing is that I personally does not change anything in my actions.

I am still doing consultation, selling my personal time for less then 60$ in hour. I never tried to sell some long-term service with big money sum. I am like hamster in a wheel, spending my time on stupid stuff.

THE WHEEL IS BROKEN, NEO! It is time to do something completely different then before. or take blue pill and return to 1C programmer job that I hate.

Today we were driving car somewhere in Moscow, when I realized that we are 20 minutes from our old friends. One call and we are heading to their house. It was totally spontaneous and I am very happy that this happened.

Being adult often means building a lot of borders. You should do this, you should do that. F*ck it! Do what you like, if I want to see old friend I will call him, and will not hesitate.

We had great evening playing board games and talking. I did not plan any of it, did not put it in my agile google calendar. And it was awesome!

Today i had a lot of free time. And I spent several hours playing computer game about space called Stellaris. I had several plans and actions and I did them at the evening, but during day I was playing. Why I did that?

Game is illusion of control. You know the rules, you know how to win. It is very important to feel control in current VUCA world.

Game is predictable. You know where the script will led you, you know what to expect. What a difference with life, eh?

Game is about winning. You can set difficulty, or cheat with AI, and feel that you are a winner.

I have a confession, i love robots. Recently AI robot designed logo for me for 5$ and 60 minutes instead of searching for designer. There are even robots for writing posts, like Rytr, and they actually do mid-level copywriting.

Robots do what you told them to do. They never get sick, never lose your emails and messenger, never protest. Though they need more direct tasks and sometimes some programming, luckily I have it.

AI neural networks, trained on thousands of texts, are able to produce something familiar. Though they lack inspiration and imagination.

First thing that I google now, when I need something done, is there some AI robot to do it. And often there is.

Video blogging process is much more creative comparing to my programming experience. I have to communicate with people, visit interesting places. Producing new ideas and scenarios is so creative work for me!

Video is like writing code. You have to think what you want to do. You have series of steps on what to do in process, i.e. algorithm. It is influencing reality, like a good startup.

When you will make your first video on millions of views, your life will change.

When you don’t like offline event, or movie, you can leave any time! Today I was at business event, but speakers were such bullshit that after two presentations I left early.

I am going to take a bath and rest. Your time of life is precious! if you are not comfortable, leave this environment. Do what you like.

Life is really short. Like today I realized 4 days passed from interesting meeting on Monday, and gosh it was so quick!

Today I was at business event where I meet about 30 new contacts.

For me it is not only about potential clients. It is about people and connection with them. Friendship, sharing experience and ideas, mentoring each other.

You never know who will grow up as a rocket. It is useful to spend some time with each one and have some recorded information, in Google Sheets for example.

I am really thinking of dropping off Moscow to be volunteer in yoga camp in Crimea. What I have here? No job, no good business going, only worries and exhausting days.

I am in a very good situation now. I don't have kids, i don't have mortgage credits, i can do whatever i want. I am totally sure i do not want 40 hours work week in office somewhere in Moscow city. Nature and air will be useful and good for health. Nothing to lose…

Be proactive. Anyway it is really hard. I have to concentrate and focus. Finding new clients, establishing communication, chatting with existing clients, planning, working with team. I feel like I have 8 arms and some of them mess with each other.

Be confident. Be brave. Be energetic. Just have this feeling inside that I am totally in piece with myself. And again it is not so simple. Yoga and meditations works here, and also psychology.

Make creative videos!

If you are a creative introvert and there is a topic that makes you heart beat faster, shoot a video! I am sure that everyone has an inspiration, has a sparkle inside! But if you hide your talent and do not show it to anyone, the world will never know about you. Your idea will remain unfulfilled or even worse — somebody else will do it.

Video gives you an opportunity to tell many people about your talents and passions. You need to talk to camera, instead of approaching people on the streets saying “look how cool is my idea”. All you need is a smartphone.
